Harvested from our neighborhood grove of tulip poplar trees overlooking the Potomac River in Maryland, this rare honey is a rich, amber color that is mild in flavor. The tulip poplar is a magnificently tall tree producing delicate lemon-lime-colored flowers with an orange center. Native Americans used its timber for canoes and early American settlers used it for shipbuilding, paper mills and construction. Rich in antioxidants, this robust honey can serve as a sugar substitute in baking or as a sweetener in sauces for roasting meat or grilling fish.

Liberty Honey
Savor the bright spirit of colonial American honey - a blend that stands out in its uniqueness and wakens the palate. Early colonists depended
upon honey and honey products made by bees first brought over from Europe. As the colonies banded together to form a union, the symbol of a
beehive reflected the stabilization of colonial America. The Founding Fathers of the United States believed that liberty signified the freedom
from dependence on another's will and was the opposite of tyranny. Liberty Honey pays tribute to the principles of individualism and natural rights
with this unique blend of honey that harkens back to eighteenth-century America.

Pioneer Honey
Enjoy the robust essence of American pioneer honey. Seeking individual freedom and the promise of boundless expansion, American pioneers
headed west toward the Ohio River Valley. Their experiences and interactions along the way helped to shape American culture, values and
ideologies. Honey, collected in the wild from honey trees and from carefully tended straw hives or skeps enriched the pioneer diet and
sweetened their hardships. The full-bodied taste of natural honey became a comfort food of sorts to the pioneers, and it still brings the
same sense of connection to our generation. Pioneer Honey commemorates the perseverance and resourcefulness of the men and women who settled
America's first frontier during the mid-eighteenth to the early nineteenth centuries.

Prairie Honey
Delight in the refreshing nature of American prairie honey. Hoping to make a new start in life, prairie homesteaders headed west to the land of rippling bluestem and spacious skies. Homesteaders valued honeybees as pollinators for their crops as well as providing honey for sweetening foods and beeswax for making candles to light their sod houses. Prairie Honey honors the vast expanses of grassland, which were so impressive that early settlers compared their endless undulations to the ocean and called their covered wagons "prairie schooners" as they navigated their rolling acres.
